It's New Year, New Episode! We had some audio issues with the first upload. They were minor, but they bugged me enough that I had to go back and fix them so I could sleep tonight! Those X-Men fever dreams when you are prepping to record the next episode can be weird! Sweaty night terrors aside, we have some great stuff going on today in the form of X-Men 45 and Avengers 53! Will we find out anything about a boat named Sue? Will Roger get the numbering for the issues in time to read them in the bathroom? Will Shane make sure to include all the music in the episode? All this, plus the Black Knight, Magneto, and a unanimous decision to punch Toad too!

Today on the House of X we are going to take a peek into two senses shattering issues, X-Men 43 and 44! First up in issue 43 we deal with the fallout from issue 42! With Professor X gone, how messed up is it that Cyclops os still only the deputy leader of the team? And in the backup we learn all about Scott's powers and how they work (to be retconned in issue 44)!
Next up is issue 44, where everyone got really sick of Toad and started thinking Magneto was right to be mean to him! I think at this point the entire book club has Stockholm Syndrome and are siding with our captor Magneto! In the backup we start to learn all about Bobby Drake, the Iceman! Well, not all about, some things stay secret for a few decades, but the signs are there! Join us for the ride, won't you?

Today on the House of X we experience some type 2 nonsense! An no amount of Metformin will ever decrease the levels! In our first issue we explore X-Men 40 where those lanky teens battle Frankenstein! Or at least a reasonable robot facsimile! He's tall and has bolts in his neck, but does he have the ability to love?
In our second sugar coated tale we jump in like Scrooge McDuck into a pile of gold. We swim around in Avengers number 49! Hercules battles a fella named Typhon, who tries to use his storytelling powers to lull Hercules and the readers to sleep! AND Magneto tries to bully his way into the UN! It seems that villains think that being a dillhole will get them membership to various political organizations!

Welcome back X-Men lovers, we have two barn burning issues for you today, X-Men 39 Avengers 48! And by barn burners we mean dumpster fires...
First we have the (anti) climatic battle between the X-Men and Factor Three! It was a long winding road to get here so surely they will stick the landing! Anyone? Hello? In the backup we see how Professor X began his life of crime. Wait, this one is about Cyclops! In the backup story we see how Professor X used Scott Summers to begin his life of crime. There, so much better!
Next up is Avengers 48, continuing the face off between the Avengers and Magneto. In this issue we find out that Hawkeye should have been put in prison for animal cruelty decades ago! Maybe in the sixties you could get away with shooting a flying horse with a harpoon and climbing aboard to strangle the rider, but not today pal! Times sure have changed!

The Factor Three train Keeps a'rollin' on anther thrill a minute episode of House of X Book Club! Our first issue is none other than X-Men #38! Today we find out about ANOTHER secondary mutation of the Beasts, as he uses his pinky toe to subdue a hippo! Not really, but the truth is even weirder! We also continue the magical journey of a boy and his pal with diamond plated hands! It's a tale as old as time! or at least as old as the 60's!!!
In our second issue of action packed action, we dive head first into Avengers number 47! Magneto guest stars, and Toad is here too! Magneto does drugs (apparently, but really how else can you explain the manic eyes and grinding teeth?) and Toad irritates everyone! Also, there are some Avengers here! Watch Hercules climb stuff! Marvel at the origins of The Black Knight! Be slightly amused by the bargin basement Avengering of Hawkeye! All this and the Maximoffs too!

He hates the written word almost as much as his father, who very much likes the written word! That dastardly man! And in X-Men 37, the team falls out of a plane! After they rip the door off of course! Like you do on a commercial airplane! And then comes the first of what appears to be MANY, MANY, MANY showdowns with Factor Three! Or maybe just this one that seems to drag on forever! Either way, you know there is going to be a tussle!
